The Way’s Next Generation Youth Ministry

Next Generation Youth Ministries encourages the youth at GWCBC to learn about God, put forth and obey Him, listen to Him for directions, in all thy ways acknowledge Him, learn to pray and give thanks in all things. The Way – Next Generation encourages and support our youth to be regular participants in ministries of the church; acknowledge academic excellence and achievements in extracurricular activities; encourage youth participation in local, state, and national events.

Ages 2-18

The Way prepare our youth to excel as leaders in their school and community. We are preparing the next generation now! For them, by them and not without them!
Goals & Objectives:
1. To tailor ministries and services to our youth.
2. To provide biblical teaching series, Sunday school classes, and activities on issues that is significant to youth.
3. To mentor and include youth in all phases of planning and coordination of all youth programs
4. To acknowledge academic excellence and achievements in extracurricular activities.
5. To encourage youth participation in local, state, and national events.
6. To provide youth with spiritual development and life skills necessary for soul decision making. This will be accomplished through a youth retreat, rap session, career college preparations, and attending various civic and cultural events;
7. To help youth improve their oratorical skills with regular training sessions and by participating in specific worship service throughout the year;
8. To help our youth improve their creative talents;
9. To help our youth understand clearly that they must give account to their stewardship to God.
10. To provide academic counseling to students/parents upon their request;
11. To provide respite care (wellness break) for parents with family members with disabilities.

12. To provide youth emotional wellness program, let’s talk it through to a safe place.
